Stitch by Numbers

Stephen West's new patterns are available online. I am a bit obsessed with this one - Stitch By Numbers (pattern purchased on Stephen’s website).

I’m trying to work out how to use a self-striping yarn - something from Freia or Spincycle or a Zauberball. Or maybe Party of Five kits from SweetGeorgia.
Enjoy a modular collage of different slip stitch patterns with this bold arched shape. The seamless construction begins in the center with the Painting Bricks motif. Then, stitches are picked up to knit each wing with stripes, triangles, and chevrons. A final border frames the architectural shape with slip stitch squares. Choose a main color and five contrast color pops in fingering weight yarn to create this stunning statement shawl.
Stephen designed the shawl in fingering weight yarn.

Here is Linda’s Temperature Blanket.

Here’s my blanket so far. The coldest colours are the palest of whites and blues.

Denise sent me a picture of the start of her Temperature Blanket. She is doing Kaffe’s colours (more kits available next week). I am jealous - I love these colours. She is making it for a gift and it will be going to BC. These are the temperatures for Fernie.

In case you missed this yesterday. Our hours will be Wednesday - Saturday from 11am - 3pm.

Lucy’s surgery went well. Dad has her and they are almost home. They put a cone on her - I’m not sure how long that is going to last.
