Summer Anthology - Rowan Spring/Summer 2026

Spring Rowan has launched. Our boxes are with FedEx and they will be delivered on Wednesday. This is a brand new magazine using Rowan Summerlite DK. You can purchase the book online or in the store.

These are all brand new colours. Two won’t be in the order because somehow I missed them when I put my order in. They should be here in a week or so.

Minty green shades fade into jade. Subtle golden specks remind us sunny days are just around the corner!
I laid out my sweater before bed last night. I just started the ribbing on the second sleeve. Unfortunately there is a problem. I only did 3 rows of the Spincycle on the second sleeve when I should have done 5. I need to take back the last chart and add two rows. πŸ€¬πŸ‘ΏπŸ€¬πŸ˜‚. I wasn’t happy with myself. I could leave it but every time I wear the sweater I will see the mistake. UGH!! Now I’m going to start ripping back.

Emma’s Theme Packs

We received an email from Emma’s this week that select Theme Packs are being discontinued to make way for new colourways coming soon. We have marked down the discontinued kits.

Theme Packs are available online and in the store. See all the colours.

Lisa K. Ross (Paper Daisy Creations) has a beautiful shawl pattern called Perennial It is stunning! You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Perennial plants, when cultivated, can be everlasting. They come back year after year, no matter what happens in between. Handknits, when carefully tended, are the same. This scarf is effortlessly knit on the bias, highlights your palette, drapes beautifully when worn, and will return year after year to keep you warm and stylish. It’s the perfect canvas to play with beautiful yarns, transitioning colors through a combination of garter, stockinette, and easy-to-knit wildflowers.

Lisa knit the shawl with a Theme Pack from Emma’s. You can knit the shawl with the Practically Perfect Small Theme Pack or the Super Silky Small Theme Pack.

The pattern calls for a Theme Pack from Emma’s in Practically Perfect Sock. For the sample we used a Theme Pack in Super Silky. Super Silky is 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Silk. The drape is amazing.

From Emma’s Mom, Laura, who designed the shawl.

I live in the subtropics where we enjoy year round sunshine and hot sticky summers. I often find myself in a dilemma, do I dress for the weather outside or the weather inside? Outside the sun is blazing and inside the air is frigid, almost freezing! Enter Tropical Dilemma, the perfect take everywhere

This gorgeous shawl is knit from the top down, beginning with a garter tab cast on. As you add increases to the spine and edges a triangular shape is formed. The simple repeat of knits and purl rows are memorizable and meditative, making this the perfect lazy day, knit night or Netflix project! Grab a kit of colorful yarn or use up bits from your beautiful stash, this shawl is all about letting the yarn do the heavy lifting so you can relax and enjoy!

Capricorn is a new Theme Pack coming next week.

I went way back again. This shawl is from November of 2016 - Winter Cove (pattern purchased on Ravelry) knit with 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rasta on 15mm needles.
A lightly-fulled single-ply yarn of magnum proportions! Whip out a super-cozy accessory in just hours with this super-sized delight of a yarn. Our premium Uruguayan merino is just as soft as ever, and Rasta comes in a range of our unique “watercolor multi” colorways as well as a rainbow of semi-solid basics. Unbelievably squishy, this is the yarn to turn to when you want the ultimate in warmth (or the ultimate in speed!)
Have a good evening. Stay safe tomorrow - hopefully they are wrong with how much snow we are going to get.

This is Grevillea (pattern purchased on Ravelry) that I finished earlier this year and just found out that I never took outdoor pictures. Later this week. The shawl is knit with a Theme Pack from Emma’s along with one skein of Practically Perfect Sock. Here are some combinations for the new Theme Pack Eyes on the Horizon.
With Petal
With November Crazy Beautiful
With Dusk Til Dawn

This is with October Crazy Beautiful
I couldn’t find a large skein of Poppin and it was time to leave. This shows you the colour and we do have large skeins somewhere in the store.
With Lady Lavender
Boscoe has a new bandana. I tried to get a close up but he wouldn’t stand still. This afternoon he went to the vet and gave blood. Beth said he was an angel. He’s exhausted now and sleeping on the couch.

Thanks to Time Shifting we have The Amazing Race taping and can watch it before Survivor. Have a good evening - I’m moving to the comfy chair.
