We had an amazing time at Camp with Laura Bryant. Her classes were awesome. She brought many garments for our fashion show. Here are a few.
This shawl is stunning!!! It is from Vogue Knitting and I am ordering yarn from Laura to make one for myself.
Laura is all about colour!
There were many Rowan garments too. In previous years I did a fashion show brochure that was printed and everyone could follow along. This year Laura brought her garments and I didn't know what was coming. That makes it harder to write a brochure so the models carried signs.
New shawl cuffs arrived while we were away and should be on the website this week.
While unpacking boxes we did some rearranging. Project bags from Zigzag Stitches. These are beautifully made in Ontario.
I'm early today. I did get a bit of knitting done last night and am ready to do more tonight. After the colourwork in the yoke there are more short rows. I finished those last night and now it's around and around until it's time for the armholes.
Lynn has separated for her sleeves. It looks great!
Baseball, football and a new Love it or List it Vancouver. A good TV evening.

Hue Loco
I love my Double Your Pleasure Wrap from Prism Yarns. Cathy and Sue visited from Buffalo on Friday and have both knit the kit. They are each going to knit it again because they love it so much. The great thing about the wrap is that everyone can wear it. Cathy is petite and Sue is tall. Both ladies commented that whenever they wear the wrap everyone raves about it.
The Double Your Pleasure Wrap can be worn multiple ways and with either side out, for a very different look. Inspired by a Stephen West design, Prism's version is very easy to knit with short rows and stocking/reverse stocking stitches.
I started to take pictures of the kits on Friday and then it got busy. I'll photograph the rest tomorrow. Those that were photographed are on the website.
We have exciting news. Our order from Hue Loco will be here in time for LYS Day.
This is Dirty Talk. There will be 29 colours in all. 9 skeins of each.
I chose Phyllis Sock as the base.
75% Superwash Merino
25% Nylon
420m/460 yards
100gram skein
Grocery Girls
Hoarfrost
Rowdy Mermaid
Mermaid Tail
After LYS Day we will divide the skeins and part will stay in the store and part will be packed for the Knitters Frolic. If any skeins are left after the Frolic we will add them to the website.
Madelinetosh has discontinued a lot of colours. I have decided that we are going to start selling these off. For now these discounts are available only on the website (we are still working out the logistics of this in the store).
Twist Light - buy one skein and get another 50% off.
If you live in the area you can purchase on line and pick up in the store. We have added this option to our checkout.
Keep watching the website as more tosh yarns are added.

Triple Treat or Double Your Pleasure?
Ms. Canada Post brought in a box from Lynda this morning. She finished two projects for us.
This is Rhiannon from Prism Yarns. It is knit from a kit. There are 3 pattern options in the Triple Treat kit. There is a bit of bling in the yarn but not too much.
It was nice taking pictures in the sun but boy was it windy.
This is Double Your Pleasure knit in Prism's Merino Mia.
This is our second Double Your Pleasure. Everybody can wear this. Lynn wears it and so do I.
We have a new yarn in the store.
It hasn't been added to the old website yet but it will be on the new website.
We have 5 colours of DK right now and all 6 colours arrived in the worsted weight version. The worsted weight is the same composition with 200m/219 yards on a ball. Yes, these come in balls. No winding.
We don't have sweater quantities yet.
Funny story - I ordered the yarn and didn't know that they came 5 in a bag. I thought that they were 10. My supplier is sending us more and we should have it next week.
I made it through my first fade and am into the second colour on Chevron Shenanigans.
We were eating dinner and couldn't find Lucy. She was in one of her favourite spots. The landing is perfect for watching out the front windows.

Stephen West
Our dogs lead a hard life.
Beth and I are getting ready for our Fantasy Football draft. I'm writing, actually I'm going to show lots of pretty pictures and not write too much, quickly before the draft.
New from Uschitita.
I showed Double Your Pleasure last week.
This Friday the next Stephen West MKAL will launch. Watch on Ravelry so that you can plan. We will put together some colour combinations next week to inspire you.
The draft is over. Our team looks good and we're ready for the season to start tomorrow night. Now it's time for Big Brother and knitting. My Comfort Fade Cardi is still drying. Lynn might be sewing in ends as we drive to Kitchener Saturday morning :)

Time Trades
My blocking elf did an amazing job. Time Trades is finished. We will be making kits next week in time for the Knitters' Fair. The colours of tosh unicorn tails are out of stock but should be here on Tuesday. We will also be receiving dk, sport and merino light.
Churchmouse Yarns has new patterns and they are on the way to us.
This is the Two Point Cowl.
If you can't wait for our shipment (they should be here next week) you can order the patterns on Ravelry. The first 6 are the brand new ones.
Ms. Canada Post delivered very pretty yarns from Prism today. These are the new Merino Mia Gradient Packs.
We used one kit to make So Faded (pattern purchased on Ravelry). It was a fight to get it off Sarah.
I'm posting quickly because we are having Internet problems at home. It's working on my MacBook but not on any other device. I know, reset it. I need to reset the whole system but am waiting until after Big Brother to start messing with it - we have Bell Fibe so if I unplug the box I am affecting everything.

This is the Two Point Cowl.
Inspired by our ever-popular Easy Folded Poncho, this scaled-down version is totally seamless and slips easily over the shoulders. The simple shape makes it easy to re-yarn in another gauge. Just swatch for a softly draping fabric, then multiply the schematic dimensions by your stitch gauge—the math is easy!
Plush, chunky-weight Rowan Brushed Fleece yields a wonderfully cozy cowl. A knitterly version of the Northwest’s ubiquitous polar fleece, it’s a super-soft blend of extra fine merino and baby alpaca. Warm and insulating but remarkably light, Brushed Fleece has a rustic charm and a range of natural colors. Plus, all that plump fluff means you’ll be snuggled up in your cowl in no time!
