Andrea’s new shawl pattern is coming out tomorrow. It is called The Inclinations Shawl.

These are the colours that Andrea used. Kits are available on the website.

I put these colourways together from a small picture I saw a few weeks ago. Once I purchase the pattern tomorrow there could be more options.

We have a brand new colour of Zauberball Crazy. This is 2475 Background Noise. There were more colours in the box and we will update our stock tomorrow.

We also received a box of Addi needles. I’ll get those online tomorrow as well.

I was knitting on my Shawlography last night when Beth asked which section I was on. I said Clue #2 and she remarked that I am way behind. She thought that I should take an afternoon and catch up. That was the plan today until I fell into the website rabbit hole. I have a new app which lets us do some neat things from our end that will save Lynn and I time. It will save us time soon - right now it’s going to take a bit of work but I’m excited about the future.

I’m going to crawl out of my rabbit hole and knit for a bit.

Beth helped me in the store this morning. It cost me two balls of Crazy Zauberball and an Addi circular needle. Beth is knitting another of her Crazy Scarves. 

The scarf takes two balls (you want very different colours) and a 40cm circular needle. I will get pictures tomorrow when she has more rows knit.

My tea and knitting are waiting. Have a great Saturday evening.

Kathy was styling today!

Kathy visited today wearing two gorgeous hand knit items. She knit The Throwback in Cascade 220. I love her colours. Now I want to make another one.

It doesn't show well in the pictures but her glasses are purple and match her outfit.

I love what Kathy did with her scarf. The pompoms are awesome. Beth designed this scarf and she loves the pompoms. She asked/told me to add pompoms to one of her scarves that is hanging in the store. I was going to write about the scarf today because we received another shipment of Crazy Zauberball. Perfect timing by Kathy.

You need two balls of Crazy to make the scarf. I suggest picking two very different colours so that the striping shows.

I was supposed to finish my newsletter today but I've put that on tomorrow's list. Now it's time for a few rows of knitting while I watch the start of the football game.

Crazy

We have a brand new colour of Zauberball Crazy and it is awesome!!!

Zauberball has been kicked up a notch, as two strands of the main ply have been dyed individually and then twisted together for a crazy combination! The end result is a self-striping multi-colored pattern, with a bold variegated design!

• 75% Superwash Wool - 25% Nylon  

• 459 yards per 100 gram ball  

• 2-3 mm (approx. US 0-2) needles 

• Approx. 7.5 sts per inch  

One ball will make a pair of interesting socks.

Beth used two colours of Crazy for her easy to make scarf.

We used two balls of Silk Garden Sock for the Crazy Magic Boomerang - it would look stunning in Crazy Zauberball.

Another pattern that would look great in Crazy Zauberball is ZickZack.

Karen used Mille Colori Baby for this ZickZack.

Here is the new colour 2389 with 2355. The scarf would look phenomenal in these two.

The sun is shining today and it feels good to be looking at bright coloured yarn.

Speaking of bright, I am thinking about my next project. What the Fade?! is calling my name.

Quadruple your fading fun!! This shawl starts off with back to back fades thanks to beautiful, bouncy two color brioche! We then end with an epic band of all 6 colors faded together with some relaxing garter stitch! I have a collection of Skinny Singles Potlucks at home. I'm going to dig them out and see what I can come up with.

Oh my gosh. Christmas is a week away. I started a mental note of things that I need to get for dinner. It is getting longer by the minute. I'm going to head into Ancaster early tomorrow morning to get a few things crossed off the list before opening the store.

I froze!

We received two new colours of Arranmore Light yesterday that would look amazing in the Library Vest.

I'm at home with Roko waiting for a call from Cathy and Lynn that UPS has arrived. I've been working on the website and have tried to remain patient.

Roko is not worried about the shipment. I wish I was as calm as he is.

I've been watching NCIS: New Orleans while working.

At 3:30 I still hadn't heard from Cathy and Lynn that the Spincycle order had arrived. I headed back to the store. UPS came at 4 but the Spincycle wasn't on his truck. It was on a different one. I called UPS and they guaranteed we'd see the box by 5. Nope. I called again and then Mr. UPS came at 5:30. It was the same driver. He did have my box but didn't look for it. I think that my blood pressure might have been a bit higher than it should have been.

We stayed til 6 to unpack the boxes and pull customers orders. When I got home I updated the website.

These are Dream State.

I'll get pictures of Dyed in the Wool tomorrow. There are so many amazing colours. Now I might need to make The Shift. Cathy had hers on when she left the store. Or a smarter idea might be to have Alex make it for me. It'll be quicker that way.

Then my day got better. I locked the store and started to walk to my car. If you've been to the store you know it isn't far. There was a skunk staring at me. Yup. You read that correctly. I had no clue what to do. I froze. It froze. Then it turned and waddled away. Oh my goodness.

What a long post. That is what happens when I spend too much time at home during the day. I didn't want to sit and knit - I'd feel guilty doing that so I wrote. And wrote.

This morning we received a shipment of Zauberball Starke 6.

The same unique color combinations as Zauberball® Crazy in a DK weight to give sweaters, shawls, and scarves a truly creative flair.

Beth's original scarf was knit with the thinner Crazy. Then she found Starke 6 - the same great colours but she could use a bigger needle. This scarf is one ball each of colours 2266 and 2136.

She liked the scarf so much that she's started a second one.

For this scarf she used one ball each of 2136 and 2095

There are 3 pages of patterns on Ravelry for shawls, scarves, socks, sweaters, vests and cardigans using Starke 6.

A box arrived from Lynda as well. The shawl is beautiful!

It's a crazy windy day today and getting pictures wasn't easy. The picture of the shawl on the mannequin is very close to the true colours of the kit - we used Mimsy. The picture below is to show how big the shawl is.

Chevrione is knit starting from the small end of the triangle to the end, where it is bound off using a picot bind off! It can be worked with lots of beads, a few beads, or no beads at all. Chevrione was specifically designed to use gradients, as the wave pattern shows beautifully with the gradient. This pattern includes both full written and charted instructions, and can easily be modified for size by working extra repeats of Chart B, or omitting repeats of Chart B.

Something fun came late this afternoon. I've been playing with it and there will be pictures tomorrow.
