Tulips

Tulip Baby Cardigan kits are back in stock. The colours are gorgeous.

There are 13 colours of Smooshy Cashmere too.
Dream in Color’s most popular yarn for every type of accessory– it’s easy to tell why once you feel, see and knit with it.  The incredible stitch definition comes from just the right amount of twist. The brilliant sheen makes our jewel colors sparkle and shine. The combination of a super soft merino blended with a fine cashmere makes it a customer favorite for shawls, scarves and anything you want to wear close to your skin!

I went through some past projects to give you ideas of what you can make with Smooshy Cashmere. This is Cathy’s Ara Shawl (pattern purchased on Ravelry). Cathy used 2 skeins of Hedgehog for hers.
This is Cathy’s Close To You (pattern free on Ravelry).
Blue Bird (pattern purchased on Ravelry) that Cathy knit in a fingering weight from Dream in Color.

This is our store sample of Joji’s Storm Shawl (pattern purchased on Ravelry). Cathy also knit this shawl but I can’t find a picture of it.

Rima used two skeins of fingering weight to knit Ziggy (pattern purchased on Ravelry). I really want to knit this one.
I hope I have inspired you to start something new. Now it’s bed time. Beth and I are heading out on our ‘pretend trip’ tomorrow morning.

Tulip Baby Cardigan

No I am not the fastest knitter ever. The pattern for the Hug Shot went live on Ravelry this morning but I had an advanced copy and started when the Dream in Color shipment arrived. The pattern is easy to follow and is great for all levels of knitter.

I am using Kit #10. The Smooshy Cashmere is a dream to knit with. I did go down to a 3.75mm needle because I knit a bit on the loose side.

Another shipment is on the way from Dream in Color. The box will have 13 colours of Smooshy Cashmere including.
I took these pictures from the Dream in Color website. They are not photographed on the Smooshy Cashmere base. The yarn will look like my shawl.

We will also have Baby Tulip kits.
Dream In Color’s Tulip Baby Cardigan Kit features a unique combination of eight hand-dyed colors of Dream In Color Classy 100% Superwash wool yarn, spun and dyed in the USA. That’s enough yardage to knit the one-piece, neck-down Tulip Baby Cardigan in any size up to 18 months.
There will be two different colour ways available. I knit this cardigan many years ago and it is so cute. I can’t wait for this bright colour.

Dreamy

The Big Brown Truck brought our box from Dream in Color this morning. Talk about colour!!
These are to make The Hug Shot. The kit is one ball of a solid and one of the multi.

Maybe you like the colours but don't want to make the shawl. Not a problem. You have other options. Take a look at Ambah O'Brien's Kallara. The kit will make this beautiful wrap.

A customer asked me to put together a few colour combinations for Stephen West's new shawl Lava Lake using Uschitita.

I took the mustang through the car wash. I love the colour of the soap.
My yarn is wound for The Hug Shot. I'm using the new Dream in Color. The yarn is Wool, Cashmere and Nylon. Dreamy!

In 3-4 weeks we will be receiving a box from Dream in Color.
Dream in Colour has dyed special colours of Smooshy Cashmere for Breathe and Hope. We will be making kits and you will get one skein of the multi with one skein of a solid. All solids look amazing with the multi - choosing is going to be hard.

These amazingly bright colours are referred to as Ode to Springtime - Morning edition. The kits will also be one solid with one multi.

The morning edition was released for this shawl - Spring Tease (pattern purchased on Ravelry) but you can definitely use the yarn for Breathe and Hope.

I'm very excited that sometime in June we will have Baby Tulip kits again. This is the new colourway that Dream in Color put together for the girl's kit.

This is the boy's kit. I don't know the exact pricing yet but I am guessing around $100.

Joji has a new shawl called the Venezia Shawl - you can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.
ONE SKEIN WONDER!
These are some of my favorite projects to make. Special, unique, and perfect for using treasured skeins and making gifts.
Venezia is a precious, delicate shawlette, perfect for any single skein of fingering weight yarn. Worked from tip to tip, with a reversible lace pattern and a diamond shape.
It is framed by a gorgeous reversible diamond lace motif, and the main body of the shawl is worked in ribbing.
Joji used one skein of Uschitita Singles. We have lots in stock with more on the way. I have the UPS tracking number - hopefully a week to two weeks and we will have great new colours. Here are a few

Some days I struggle for a post and today there are so many things. I'm saving new kits for tomorrow's post. Diana has finished a shawl for us and I will take pictures tomorrow afternoon.
