Tidying

Alex (who does sample knitting for the store) spent some time in the store today rearranging the Adelaide. It was a mess. When the yarn arrived I didn't have time to bag up extras of each colour and put it in storage. We had too many skeins in the baskets which made it impossible to see all the colours. Now it's nicely arranged. 3-4 skeins out and the rest in hiding. We know which colours are in each bag so it's easy to find. Alex had fun playing with all the colours. I'm sure she found a few that she needs for her stash.

Before Alex started straightening, I pulled some colours. This could end up as Dotted Rays, Speckled Fade. The denim/grey and lime will be the chevron border.

I didn't make it to bed early last night but I was up at 5am to watch some golf. It's time to watch Big Brother and then bed. I might sleep in until 6am tomorrow. We'll see when the dogs wake me.

Mosaic Knitting

There was a bit of knitting tonight. Thank you The Amazing Race and Big Brother. I'm totally addicted to this cowl. You are only working with one colour per row. And the rows go quickly. How come I haven't done a project with Mosaic Knitting before?

I was supposed to be in bed early. That didn't happen. Thankfully the 'big guys' don't tee off until around 4am. I told my dad we'd talk to him at 5am. A few hours of golf (and maybe some more knitting) before heading to work.

It was a crazy busy day in the store today - I think everyone was stocking up for the long weekend. There are going to be some very pretty projects cast on tomorrow. No work tomorrow means that I can knit a few rows tonight before going to bed. Big Brother from last night is taped as is Master Chef. Great tv to knit to - you really don't have to pay attention :)

Good Vibes

I borrowed (with permission) a picture from Primrose Yarn Co's Instagram feed. Kelsey just finished this beautiful shawl. The colours are Lemongrass and Sour Patch Kids. We have both colours in Adelaide. I am really liking this combination. I didn't think I would want a yellow shawl but now I'm changing my mind.

There is also a tab at the top of the blog that will be updated as I add more yarns. The list is growing! And there are some really great deals.

I've been rearranging today. Pashmina is neat and tidy. The colours are gorgeous.

Price signs are ready. I've been moving baskets around so sale yarns are together. And I've added more yarns to the sale list.

I thought that I was going to get pictures of Free Your Fade today. I would have if I'd brought the shawl to work. I ran out the door this morning and was half way to work when it hit me. Tomorrow!
