Where is he??

I sat with my nose pressed to the window all day waiting for Mr. UPS. He finally came late this afternoon with four boxes from Long Dog Yarn.

The colours are awesome and have been added to the website. I'll get more pictures tomorrow. By the time the boxes were unpacked and the website was updated it was time to head home.

I've decided. I'm going to knit Kimba (pattern purchased on Ravelry). I'm being good and haven't wound the skeins yet. The goal is to get Veronika finished. I made it to the 3/4 point on the back. I should have the back finished by tomorrow night and then on Sunday I can work down the front.

For the past week we've been cleaning up the store. Doing some inventory, moving yarns around and updating the website. We found some Offhand Design Bags that never made it to the website. These bags are sewn in San Fransisco and are made in limited quantities so you probably won't see someone carrying your bag.

There are lots of zippers and pockets - I have both styles and carry them when flying. You have room for your knitting, wallet, phone, headphones, iPad, snacks....

I've been borrowing from instagram again. Here is another picture of a finished Medialuna Shawl. I showed Beth my problem this morning and she scolded me. "Why do you think you know better than the designer??" I get the picture. Follow the pattern :) I've ripped out my work, wound the balls and am ready to restart.

We're picking my dad up at the airport tonight. He's been in Honduras for the past 10 days on his annual mission trip. He'll be tired and hungry and sore. He'll tell us it's his last trip. And then when they start talking about the next trip in a few months he'll be signing up again :)

I asked Beth if she would be willing to make a store sample. Her kind of knitting - really, really big needles. She was a bit disappointed when I told her that Loopy Mango sent a finished throw with my order.

The Nantucket throw pictured was knit with one ball. Two balls makes a great throw for the couch.

Little Monster is knit with two balls and 25mm needles.

Buy the yarn on Saturday and have a throw knit by Sunday. There are five colours in the store and on the website.

Cables

It's been a cable day and the Tangle Scarf is growing.

The pattern repeat is 16 rows - two rows have cables and the other 14 are just knits and purls. I only have one complaint with the project. I've been knitting on 15mm needles this week making cowls and now I'm down to a 10mm needle. The rows take longer :)

Don't forget about Homeland tonight. This season has been awesome so far. The only problem with Homeland is that it's hard to knit and watch. You need to pay attention to the TV. All of a sudden you look down and realize that you haven't knit a stitch in 15 minutes. For lighter TV watching, there is a new episode of The Mentalist as well. You don't need to pay nearly as much attention.

To take my mind off of this Beth has me helping with her wedding speech. Their idea for having the bride and groom kiss has fallen through so we are making up a different game. Yes, we like games at my house.

Just as I was getting ready to leave the store a delivery man came in with something for me.

Mrs. Crosby sent me flowers. In an amazing vase. The card said
