Almost done

Today I worked diligently to get Iris done. The seams are all sewn. I need to work 2cm more on the neck. Then the ends need to be worked in and I can proclaim FINISHED!!

My post is going to be quick because I need to go upstairs to the Mac and make price signs for the Knitter's Fair. This needs to be done quickly because Big Brother is going to be great tonight.

Cora is done!!!

It has been a few days since my last post. The store has been crazy busy-thanks for everyone who came in the past week to see our new look.

I finally finished my scarf-the ends are sewn in too!!

Now I have gone back to Iris. After much debate I decided to rip out the first sleeve. In case you have forgotten, I cast on the wrong number of stitches and the sleeve was going to be too small. Now the right number of stitches are on the needle and progress is being made.

Beth is talking away as I am trying to write this making my job very hard. I tape the Y&R every day but don't always get to watch it every night. Last night I watched three episodes. Beth is normally playing on her computer downstairs but can hear what is going on. Last night she listened to the first two episodes but missed number three. I am now filling her in. She is asking some intelligent questions so I know she has been paying attention. Nikki has been missing for a while and Beth believes that Adam has her stashed somewhere. Interesting.

It is only 9:30 and it feels like 3 in the morning. I am going to move to the couch and see if there is something to watch on TV.

Need help counting

I totally messed up my knitting!!! Not a happy camper. The sleeves on Iris were too small for me so I needed to add stitches. I calculated 75 as the proper number. After I started the armhole shaping earlier today I counted the stitches. I only started with 65. When I cast on the stitches, they were counted three times and I swear there was 75!! I don't like to rip out so I finished the sleeve and am going to sew it in tomorrow. If it looks okay then it stays. If it looks too tight then I will be frogging. Unfortunately or fortunately I forgot to bring home yarn for sewing so it is sitting on the floor of my bedroom until tomorrow. That is probably for the best with my mood right now.

Don't worry because I have other knitting at home.

Rochdale is from Rowan 46-knit in Big Wool on 12mm needles.

I have been holding out on you. I started this the day Rowan 46 arrived and was going to show it to you when done. I have pulled it out to work on this afternoon so I took a quick picture for you. One front is done and I am working on the back.

12mm Addi needles have a fat, plastic cord and I don't like knitting with them. A pair of Ebony Lantern Moon needles whispered to me that they would work well for this project so I took them home. Very nice. You won't see me knitting on straight needles very often but they are working well for this project.

My knitting and I are moving upstairs to watch the Nascar race if it ever starts.

Can't wait for Big Brother. I am hoping that Jeff or Jordan win HOH. Let's see Jessie and Ronnie squirm.

Iris

I haven't been blogging but for a very good reason-I have been knitting!! The bug has caught again and I can't stop. The back is finished on Iris (three days-not bad) and I am a couple of inches up the front. I need to get this done because other garments in the Colourscape Folk magazine are calling my name.

Keep checking out the Featured Patterns page of the website as well. More and more patterns are being added all the time. New additions include
-Rowan 46
-Colourscapes Chunky
-Lima Collection
-Berroco
-Spud & Chloe
-Sublime

The rearranging in the store has started. The front room has a great display of Namaste bags now. Did you know that the Newport and Malibu bags are now discontinued? We still have stock but can't get any more.

Beth returned home from Myrtle Beach on Friday afternoon. She proceeded to sleep most of Saturday to recuperate. The dogs have left me and are sleeping with her. I miss them but have much more room in bed.

Has anyone been watching Law and Order UK? Scarves are running rampant on the show-everyone is wearing them. It is great to see.

We are so used to living with technology that not having it is difficult. My email has been acting up all day. Why can't it just work properly? How did we live without email? If you have been trying to reach me, please be patient. It will get her sometime.
