A day on the course

Caitlin Hunter’s patterns are beautiful. This shawl is called Teroldego and is knit with three colours of fingering weight.
Teroldego is an asymmetrical triangle shawl featuring lace, colorwork, bobbles and stripes. The edges have a narrow garter edge, which allows for a slightly unfinished, rolling finish inspired by runway trends
Stock up now!

I loved knitting Andrea Mowry’s Find Your Fade. I’ve made the shawl three times and would make it again.

I played with colours for a customer this afternoon.

This one is calling my name.

Wannietta is hooked. She finished another ball last night.
I heard from Tina at Freia today and our order should be ready to ship next week. YAY!

Pretend Trip
Beth and I went golfing today.
For almost 20 years Beth has talked about golfing at Shadow Creek. Tiger and Phil played their big match there last year. That was my surprise for her birthday.

You can’t drive there - you have to go by limo. The driver pulled up to the gates of the course and had to give our name. When we got to the clubhouse the director of golf was there to meet us.

Beth was quite nervous about going. Not all courses welcome women.

They couldn’t have been friendlier. After meeting with the director of golf we went into the locker room. There are some pretty impressive members.

We left the locker room and were walking towards our cart to head to the practice range when a lady came running after us. ‘Ladies, Ladies’. We were so afraid we did something wrong. She apologized for not having the locker room ready for us - there were no snacks. Chocolate bars, chips, fruit or whatever we wanted.
This is in the middle of the desert. It is stunning!

Every group has their own caddie. Kevin was awesome.
To order food or drinks to pick up after 9 holes.
This course doesn’t have ladies tees - we played from the men’s. It was over 6600 yards - more than 1000 yards longer than anything I have ever played.

Remember when I said we played from the men’s tees? Beth shot 89. She was lights out all day. Our caddie was very impressed. Not with me but I was just along to have fun. 😘

Beth hasn’t stopped talking about her day of golf.
