This is Melanie Berg’s Superbloom (pattern purchased on Ravelry)
Spring is incredible in my home town of Bonn, where thousands of cherry trees fill the cobblestone streets with gorgeous pink blooms.
That spectacular display is the inspiration for Superbloom, a romantic asymmetrical triangular shawl that combines garter stitch with airy lace.
You need 2 colours of fingering weight yarn (1 skein of each) and 50grams of a mohair/silk blend. Melanie used Hedgehog Fibres Oh So Fine and Kidsilk Lace. The sample is made with two dreamy yarns by Hedgehog Fibres, to create a shawl perfect for a springtime stroll.
Oh So Fine - The softest cloud of dreams 18.5 micron merino, spun into a lofty and supple 2ply yarn. Light fingering weight at 425m/100g. Great for accessories, baby patterns, anything that requires soft and delicate hand. The softest cloud of dreams 18.5 micron merino, spun into a lofty and supple 2ply yarn. A newsletter went out this afternoon. Here is a link to it. If you don’t receive our newsletters you can sign up on the website to receive them. Sometimes we share news there that I don’t put on the blog.
I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post that we received our Della Q Mesh Totes yesterday. One part Tote, one part Rucksack, the new Makers Mesh Tote is a larger-sized, fully transparent project bag designed with warmer days of making in mind. Created to be carried in two different ways as a crossbody or shoulder bag, this bag boasts enough interior space to hold 10+ skeins or medium-to-large sized projects. It comes standard with a matching clip-in Scissor Pocket, exclusive canvas Oh Snap, and an adjustable strap. Available in four colors.

Stay safe if you’re out in the snow tonight. It’s coming down like crazy here.
