Vancouver Aquarium

I was up early and caught the first Hop On Hop Off Bus. I probably should have taken my time because I was at the Aquarium very early. My knitting was in my bag so I got a few rows done before it was time to go in
The aquarium was very good.

This is from the aquarium website.
The Vancouver Aquarium is internationally recognized for display and interpretation excellence, and was the first facility to incorporate professional naturalists and interpretive specialists into galleries to explain animal behaviors. We are internationally recognized for our successful Marine Mammal Rescue Program. Innovative programming and superlative animal care have seen the Aquarium held in high esteem year after year.
I have so many pictures and will try and pick out just a few to share.

The colours were amazing.

They also have many displays with information about animals and the environment. I was surprised by how many parents were there with their young children. A few told me that they are members of the aquarium and come regularly. Their little ones love it. It makes sense - if we grew up in Vancouver Beth would make mom take her weekly. If not more.

The flowers were out in Stanley Park.
I didn’t have time to get more pictures because the bus arrived and trust me, you don’t want to miss it. (More on that later)

From Stanley Park I went to Granville Island. The market was amazing. Choosing lunch was difficult. Everything looked so good. I looked around some shops but need to go back. I missed a huge section.

From here I got on the bus and got off at the casino. It was very nice but very small. I won $30 and headed out to get back on the bus. I was almost at the stop when the bus pulled in and pulled out. I had to wait 20 minutes for the next bus. The area wasn’t the nicest - thankfully there was a lot of people out so I felt better about standing there by myself.

Then I stopped at Gastown for dinner. Some of you might roll your eyes but I ate at The Old Spaghetti Factory. I remember going in Toronto and then we got one in Hamilton. Eating there brought back memories of dining there with friends. Also, it was nice out and I could sit on the patio. The food was good and didn’t break the bank so I give it two thumbs up.

I couldn’t bring myself to get on the bus and sit on it to get back to my hotel - which wasn’t really that close and I’d have to walk uphill again. I took a cab and came home for a nap.

The hockey is on and I’m going to put my feet up and knit. I only walked 8km today. I feel like I was lazy.😘
