Unpacking boxes

This is Andrea Mowry’s Honey Moss Shawl that we knit with 5 balls of Deluxe Worsted Tweed.
Mr. FedEx was here bright and early with 5 big boxes of Deluxe Worsted Tweed from Universal Yarns. There are new colours as well as a restock of existing colours.

Universal Yarn's Deluxe Worsted Tweed Superwash is a machine-washable superwash wool. Deluxe Worsted Tweed Superwash comes in a lovely palette of tweedy colors that are perfect for everything from sweaters and accessories to blankets!

You can purchase the pattern for Honey Moss on Andrea’s website.

We used Deluxe Tweed Worsted for Andrea’s Weekender Sweater. Yarn packs are available online.

You can purchase the pattern on Andrea’s website.

Deluxe Worsted Tweed is on sale for 10% off until next Saturday (July 23rd).

Later in the day Mr. Canpar brought us a brand new yarn. Lang Merino 120. This is a double knitting weight merino wool that will replace Zara.

Around 40% of all wool comes from merino sheep, that being of the very best quality. The fibres are fine with a good crimp, so they feel extremely soft and springy and keep their shape well. The wonderful characteristics of sheep's wool are particularly pronounced in merino yarns. This quality is made with fine Australian merino wool. Produced from first class raw wool with all the know how gained through many years' experience, LANGYARNS MERINO is a fantastic yarn for all types of high quality knitted garments - a classic yarn not just for classic pieces!

These are the colours that have arrived and more will be coming in August/September.

I have another skein of Kathmandu Aran wound and I’m ready to cast on the second front of Elah. It’s going to be an early night because The Open (golf) starts very early in the morning. I won’t make it for the start but I’ll be up earlier than normal.
