Tough Love Sock

We received a big restock of SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock this morning.

Clementine

80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon 425 yards / 388 m per 4 oz / 115g skein

A perfect blend of warmth and strength to make a hardwearing sock yarn that can stand up to your affection and abuse. Tough Love Sock is our best-selling yarn and knits up beautifully into fine-gauge sweaters, small shawls, as well as socks! Spun from 80% superwash and super soft merino and 20% nylon, this 3-ply yarn is so versatile — knit it firmly for hard wearing socks, knit it loosely for drapey shawls, or knit it doubled for a great worsted weight substitute. Suggested gauge for sock knitting: US 0-1 (2-2.25mm) | 8 sts/1″

See all the colours.

I have knit a few shawls out of Tough Love Sock and it is a great yarn to work with. It is very soft.

Another great feature of Tough Love Sock is that the skeins have dye lots. This makes the yarn a great choice if you are going to knit a sweater. I would still alternate skeins but you know that the 4 skeins for your sweater were dyed at the same time and the colour of each skein is very close.

This is Cavatina by Tabitha Hendricks. The shawl is knit with one skein of Tough Love Sock. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Lace is the star of the show in this decadent triangular shawl. A simple pattern worked from beginning to end in a lush, rich colour makes an accessory that is as wonderful to wear as it is to knit.

Tough Love Sock makes great socks. You can purchase the pattern for the Tellico Ripples on Ravelry.
Lace ripples back and forth across the fabric of these socks, like water moving down the Tellico River in East Tennessee. Subtly changing, this easy-to-memorize pattern shifts smoothly into the foot for a pair of socks that are lovely to make and wear.

I tried on my Ranunculus sweater yesterday and need to do 5” more before it is the length that I want. Yikes. I need to get moving if I’m going to have it ready to take to Chicago.

Getting down the stairs can be tough some days. We thought that Boscoe would get too big to lie on the stairs but he still loves it.

Jackson likes to leave his toys lying around.

Words don’t describe Jackson.
