We have a Points Program

Churchmouse Yarns has reworked their popular Shoulder Cozy in Rowan’s Soft Boucle.

Part capelet, part poncho, part cowl, our Shoulder Cozy is so quick and easy to knit in all garter stitch! It has a wide, bell-like shape that slips comfortably around your shoulders or scrunches cozily around your neck. Whether you’re cuddling up at home or bundling up to head outdoors, this is a perfect piece to keep close.

For this version of our Shoulder Cozy, we used fluffy, fuzzy Rowan Soft Bouclé! A clever concoction of cotton, alpaca, merino wool, and polyamide, this chunky-weight yarn is soft on soft on soft. It brings furry oomph to even simple garter stitch!

You will need to purchase the Shoulder Cozy pattern (on the Churchmouse website) and then download the free adaptation.

I have something fun to announce. We have started a Points Program in the store. I have to come up with a fancy name but for now it’s the Points Program.
In the bottom right of the screen you will see a shopping bag with a heart. You can click on this to see your Points balance. It will ask you to sign into your Needle Emporium account. If you don’t have an account you can make one on the website.

In the top right corner of the website you will see Log In or Create account. If you are making a new account please click that you accept marketing otherwise you can’t redeem your points. Generally we send out two newsletters a month.

How do you accept marketing if you already have an account? When you place an order online you will see this

Please make sure that ‘Email me with news and offers’ is checked. After you complete your order you will receive an email (I’m not sure on the wording) that says you have accepted marketing. You might already have an account - don’t worry. I believe you have to click on it to agree to our terms.

I can change your account status as well. Please send me an email. Please note that the next time you place on order online you must click that you accept marketing (by clicking email me with news and offers). If you don’t your account will revert back to a Guest account and you can’t use your points.

If you are shopping in the store please ask us to add your name to your purchase. Sometimes we are running like crazy and forget to add it. At this time we can check your account to make sure that you accept marketing.

Points started accumulating yesterday. Some of you might be wondering why you received an email after you purchased.

How do you earn points?
  • 5 points for every $1 spent
  • 50 points for following on Instagram (click on the shopping bag with heart on the website)
  • 50 points for following on Facebook (click on the shopping bag with heart on the website)
How do I spend points?
100 points = $1.
On the website when you click on the shopping bag
This is from my account so I blacked out the code 😘

We can not add points for past purchases. I was going to start the program on November 1st but I couldn’t wait.
Lynn and I put together new kits for The Shift this afternoon.
This Shift is the first one that we knit up in the store. It is the large picture in the collage (kit #3 and #9 on the website.)
This is my Shift - top right on the collage. Kit #1, #11 and #13 on the website.

Now I must knit. Clue #2 comes out tomorrow and I am no where near finished Clue #1. Working is getting in the way of my knitting.
