Baking Again

Melanie Berg has a new pattern called Dubarry. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Dubarry has a free Row Map included, which makes knitting more accessible for chemo therapy patients and others who struggle with their concentration. Find out more about Row Maps here.

Let’s keep it real: life can get crazy, but your knitting doesn’t have to be.

Dubarry is like a spa day for your mind. Its simple yet stylish design lets you drift into the world of creativity without a care. Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, this sweater is as easy going as it gets.

The secret sauce? Kokon yarn. It’s like crafting with clouds, smooth and soothing. Each stitch is a step closer to serenity, even when life’s throwing curveballs. So, kick back, relax, and let Dubarry guide you through mindful knitting – one stitch at a time.

No matter how chaotic and stressful things get, remember: You’ve got your Dubarry knit to keep you cool, calm, and cozy. So grab those needles, sink into softness, and let the good times (and stitches) roll.

The sweater is knit with three strands of Kidsilk. Rowan Kidsilk Haze or Biches & Buches Le Petit Silk & Mohair would be perfect. Want to add some colour? Try Hedgehog Fibres Kidsilk Lace.

Today was haircut day so I didn’t go to the store. I was tracking a shipment from Spincycle online and it still hadn’t been delivered when I was done at the salon. I went to the store and literally missed Mr. UPS by 2 minutes. I tracked him down on Wilson Street and got my box.

This is Happy Pill.
Dirty Little Secret
On the Low - the lighting on this picture is off. The labels are white like the others. I didn’t realize until I was posting and don’t have time for more pictures. πŸ˜‚

I pinned my shawl out this afternoon so you can see how it is coming along. Clue 1 and 2 are done and I’ve started Clue 3.

I used my amazing art skills to draw on this picture to show how the shawl is going to grow. There will be ‘wings’ added on either side to create a triangle.

Tomorrow is the last rink concrete pour of the year. This time it is an outdoor skating rink in the shape of a figure 8. Because of the shape there will be twice as many workers. Beth and I have baked two batches of brownies, four dozen chocolate chip cookies, two dozen blueberry muffins and a big tray of Rice Krispies. It’s time to sign off and pack everything. The alarm is set for 4am to wake dad. He’ll bring Fred here and pick everything up before heading to Stouffville.
