Every Rose

Linda and Kerstin came in today wearing great cowls.

Kerstin (on the left) is wearing Isabell Kraemer’s Abulon (pattern purchased on Ravelry). Kerstin knit it in a discontinued sport weight. I would suggest tosh sport. Whiskers and Plunge or Whiskers and Undergrowth would be great combinations.

Linda is wearing her Shift. The colours are Overshadow, The Meadows and Truth Bomb.

Thank you ladies for sharing.
Mr. UPS delivered a box from Spincycle. This is Every Rose Dyed in the Wool.
Churchmouse Yarns designed a great cowl in Rowan Big Wool.

“A basketful of fun!”

For this free pattern, we took our inspiration from the wicker weave of a basket! A bit of ribbing, some slipping of stitches, and the choice of a super-chunky-weight yarn creates a fabric with great structure and very cuddly squish. A delight to make and a treat to wear, the slipped basket stitch is a great addition to any knitter’s repertoire—and to any knitter’s wardrobe!

The Slipped Basket Stitch Cowl is a fast, fun knit in Rowan Big Wool—a woolly mammoth of a yarn that makes any stitch pattern really pop! Spun from 100% merino wool, this yarn bulk belies an easy-to-work-with softy that knits up any project in a jiff. You’ll find that this cowl flies off your needles and around your neck in no time!

This is one of the brand new colours of Big Wool.

The pattern is free on the Churchmouse website. Just add the PDF to your cart and check out.

How do you not spend all your time scratching that belly? I’d never get anything done.
