Denim

This is Ellis from Rowan’s new magazine Breeze.

Designed by Quail Studio, this easy-to-wear cardigan is worked in a travelling eyelet lace pattern using our recycled yarn, Denim Revive. The cardigan features a v-neck, button front fastening, long sleeves and garter stitch edging.

There is something so special about denim yarn, and Denim Revive has an added dimension, thanks to its sustainable credentials. Made from recycled cotton fibres that give Denim Revive an almost tweedy effect, the capsule colour palette of muted shades contains the classic denim shades but goes beyond the blues to include chalky white, soft red, and midnight black. A perfect choice for lace, cables, or even a traditional gansey.

From March 4, 2019. My Nightshift in Dream State. It was cast off but needed to be blocked. I started my post yesterday (March 4th) so this was a bit more appropriate.

I put this in our last newsletter but in case you missed it.

THE DRK MARCH TO MAY KAL!!

KAL = knitalong: a gathering of makers who all knit together virtually or in person with a common thread - be it pattern, theme or topic.

WHEN
March 1 - May 31, 2022

WHAT
Any DreaReneeKnits sweater or shawl pattern! (WIPS are welcome!)
You can find all of my sweater patterns on Ravelry here or my website here!
You can find all of my shawl patterns on Ravelry here or my website here!

WHERE TO SHARE
Post photos of your yarn and projects so we can all oo and ahhh in the Ravelry forum for sweaters or shawls and on Instagram  with the hashtag #DRKMARCH2MAYKAL22 so we can follow along and give you some hearts! (I also love to be tagged so I don’t miss your photos - you can tag me with @dreareneeknits and hashtag #dreareneeknits).

RULES
Just have fun! This is a very casual KAL and a space created for all of YOU to get together digitally! I will pop in now and then to say hello and of course to check out all of your gorgeous makes!

Many of us don’t have a local knitting group, so this is a great way to get together online with other knitters and enjoy the company and support of our peers as we dive into a new knit! Cheer each other on, share tips and make some new friends! (Andrea met one of her absolute best friends during a KAL!) Everyone is welcome here!

PATTERN SUPPORT
Nothing warms our hearts more than seeing knitters help each other out. We still learn new tips all the time and are so grateful for the shared knowledge of other knitters! If you have a specific question about a pattern please email:drkpatternhelp@gmail.com.
The forums can get very chatty, and we would hate to miss someone who needs help. This email address is the promptest and most reliable way to get your questions answered! Please also remember that this forum is public, so we do ask that you don’t post any specific instructions (or pictures of the instructions) from the pattern as that would be a copyright violation.

Here is the link to projects on Instagram. This is a great way to see projects in progress. You might see a pattern that grabs your attention. Sometimes you see a picture of a pattern and don’t think twice about it but when you see it knit up in different colours a light bulb goes off.

The classes for Camp are listed on the Camp Blog and on our website. Registration opens on Monday. Please send us an email with your phone number and we will call you for your class choices and credit card number.
I made it to the armhole shaping on my vest and hope to finish the back tonight. It’s Pizza Saturday and I need to start cutting up the toppings. Have a good evening and enjoy the warmth tomorrow. It will be another new colour in my blanket.
