Spring Cleaning Sale

The store is feeling very cramped and it’s time to say goodbye to some amazing yarns and bags. We also need to make room because I am going to Chicago at the beginning of May to purchase new yarns for fall.

Our Spring Cleaning sale has begun and will run until 10pm on Tuesday March 26th.

There is no free shipping during our Spring Cleaning sale. Free shipping on Canadian orders over $200 will resume Tuesday March 26th at 10pm.

Everything in the store is 10% off during the sale. The discount is valid for sale and regular priced items and is applied automatically at checkout. The promotion is for online shopping and in the store!  Check out the Spring Cleaning tab at the top of the page for sale items.

You can collect points during the sale but please don’t use your points. Points and the discount cannot be combined - it is one or the other. Save your points for a future purchase and take advantage of the discount!

Here is the link to the Spring Cleaning Sale.

This is Derecho by Laura Aylor (pattern purchased on Ravelry). Laura designed the shawl in 3 colours of Tosh Merino Light.

A derecho is a widespread, long-lived wind storm that is associated with a band of rapidly moving showers or thunderstorms. One of these storms hit here in the eastern United States while I was working on my second knit of this pattern.

A triangular shawl knit modularly in two directions to produce a pattern of interconnected stripes. Two circular needles are used to knit on one side at a time while keeping the other side’s stitches live.

Skills required:
• Increasing
• Slipping stitches
• Picking up stitches from slipped-stitch edges (see tutorial)

Measurements:
• Small - 51” wingspan, 22” deep
• Large - 66” wingspan, 32” deep

Yardage details (by color value):
Small version (695 yards total):
• Light - 195
• Medium - 370
• Dark - 130
Large version (1170 yards total):
• Light - 390
• Medium - 340
• Dark - 440

This is Stripe Study knit with 2 Freia Shawl balls (Pt. Reyes) and 2 skeins of Tosh Merino Light (Oak). You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Tonight is a busy TV night. Survivor. The Amazing Race. Top Chef. Hopefully that means lots of knitting.
