Blankets

The National Parks Collection Socks are available for preorder. The yarn should be arriving in the store at the beginning of September.

With many new knitters joining the community post-covid-lockdown, we are, for a limited time, offering our National Parks Collection in our Canadian-made Organic Cottage Sock base. This GOTS merino is shrink proofed without the typical chemical super wash treatment producing a buttery feeling but hard wearing hank with gradual colour shifts.

Gather a colorful pile of fingering weight yarns to knit this modular garter stitch blanket. Two strands of yarn are always held together to create melting marl color blocks. Each section is knit seamlessly by picking up stitches and attaching new sections to previous sections while you knit. Use leftover yarns from your shawls or socks and try incorporating fluffy mohair or suri alpaca yarns into your palettes for cloudy soft shapes. This blanket is a great size for your couch, so you can bundle up in all your favorite yarns as you knit your next project.

This is Stephen West’s new Jigsaw Puzzle Blanket. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

I worked on Knitting Camp this afternoon and homework will be going out on Tuesday.

I received this email from Peggy today. Her Log Cabin Blanket is beautiful.

Hi Julie, here is picture of my finished logcabin blanket. Started June 20th and finished earlier this week. It’s a gift for a friend, who is moving back to Brandon, Manitoba. Thanks for the colour selections. Hunter is supervising the photo shoot.

Starting on June 20th and having the blanket finished by August 12th is amazing.
