Select two colors of fingering weight yarn to knit this graphic beauty. This shawl begins at the top center and increases seamlessly toward the border with fun slip stitches and stripes. You only work with one color at a time, making this project fun and easy to knit. The pattern includes video tutorials linked in the pattern to help you cast and bind off. Choose two high contrast colors for a bold graphic statement or experiment with softer, more shadowy color for a more subtle color effect. Once you complete your shawl, cast on the Contrast Blast Socks to knit some coordinating socks for your shawl!
Stephen West has a new shawl pattern. This is the Contrast Blast Shawl and you can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Yesterday afternoon I placed an order with Madelinetosh for more Woolcycle Sport. I use Woolcycle Sport for the base of the Tessellated Vest and Sweater so I will be able to make more kits with these great colours. I’m also using Woolcycle Sport for my Alpine Bloom Hat.

The Alpine Bloom hat is a fun knit. I have a feeling I’m going to up late tonight knitting to see the colours change.
Dad, Beth and the dogs are back at the cottage for the weekend. Fred likes the new couch.
