Hello November

Stephen West introduced new patterns today. This is the Spiraling Cables Triangle.

Choose a main color and contrast color to knit this cabled DK weight shawl. The triangular shape begins at the small point and increases sideways toward the wide border. Slip stitches form the crisp cables and stripes and you only have to work with one color at a time. The spiraling cables flow into a diamond trellis pattern and a picot hem finishes the edge of the shawl. Choose a solid main color combined with a self-striping yarn like Spincycle Yarns Dream State or Schoppel Wolle Stärke 6. These marled self-striping yarns form the most fascinating background stripes for an addicting knitting project.

This is the Cabled Trellis Shawl.
This colorful shawl features two skeins of the main color striped with self-striping contrast colors. Garter stitch and slip stitch cables decorate the top center of this shawl and then flow into an expanding diamond motif. The semi-circular shaping blends seamlessly with the crossing cables. The border is finished with a folded picot hem. You can use DK or worsted weight yarn to knit this architectural shawl.

Thank you Stephen for giving me lots of bright pretty pictures for tonight’s post.
If you aren’t familiar with Zauberball Starke 6 here is what the yarn looks like. We have a lot of colours in stock with more coming next week.

If you are interested in the shawls (they take the same amount of yarn) send me an email and I can make colour suggestions.

I was in the store this morning to pack boxes and meet the mail man. Then I came home to place orders. More Addi needles. Also Crazy Zauberball and Starke 6. Then I did an order with Blue Sky Fibers and The Fibre Co.

This is the Woolstok Light Big Bundle - 14 full skeins of Woolstok Light which is a fingering weight yarn. These should be arriving this week and are available on the website.

The Bundle will make the 14 Color Woolstok Light Wrap.
Knit with 5 grams or less of each of the 14 colors of Woolstok Light, this colorful, striped hat is super lightweight and perfect for spring or fall.

You can download the free pattern on Ravelry. The wrap and hat would make a great pairing. You might run a bit short on the wrap - I’m not sure if you use every last bit of the skeins - but who would notice if you wrap is a few rows shorter?

I will share my purchases from The Fibre Co later this week when I know the arrival date.

Now a bit of knitting.
