Pressed Flowers

I’m working from home today. A newsletter has already gone out and now it’s time to blog.

We have another Pressed Flowers in the store. This was knit with 2 colours of Vintage DK from Primrose. The yarn is hand dyed with tweed neps.

We put together many different colour options using Vintage DK and other hand dyed yarn (some with neps and some without). Don’t miss out because the kits are on sale for a great price. They would run from $240-$270 and we have them on for $150.

The sale will run for one week (until May 21, 2021) and then the kits will be going up in price to $199.

There are a lot of combinations available. Remember that all the yarns are hand dyed so there will be some colour variation even if the skeins look like they are a solid colour.

Jakers is worked seamlessly from the top down with a cute lace pattern around the top of the yoke. First some short rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then the yoke is worked in rounds top down to sleeve separation. Some last short rows are worked to finish the yoke shaping right before sleeve stitches are placed on hold. The body is then worked down to the hem. Held stitches are placed back on the needles to knit the sleeves top down to the lace pattern at the cuffs. No additional finishing required.

pattern includes charts and written instructions for the lace pattern

You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

The sweater is knit in fingering weight yarn so your choices are endless.

The vent hood arrived for our barbecue today. The thing is huge! Now we need the BBQ to come into stock.

It’s bed time. We’re having Bell Fibe Internet put in at the store tomorrow. That is the happy part. The bag part is that the technician is coming at 8am.
