Thursday at Sea

Cake Pop Sweater is a new pattern from Joji Locatelli (pattern purchased on Ravelry).

This pullover is knitted from the top-down in one piece, with a circular yoke.
It features an easy feather and fan lace (the wavy pattern) and it is perfect for new sweater knitters, but also really quick and fun for more experienced ones.

The sweater is knit with one strand of fingering weight and a fluffy yarn that is exactly the same base (and same yardage) as Emma’s Suri Silk. You can also knit the sweater with one strand of worsted weight yarn.

Thistlewood is a brand new pattern from Jennifer Steingass (pattern purchased on Ravelry).
Thistlewood is a top down and seamless circular yoke sweater featuring a modern, linear botanical yoke motif. It features colorwork cuffs with clean applied i-cord edging or an option for short sleeves if desired. Choose your colors according to the seasons - easily make this design for the holidays or represent your favorite season with your favorite fall, winter, spring, or summer colors.

The sweater is knit in fingering weight yarn so you have many yarns to choose from.

I’ve been having Strawberry Daiquiris for Beth. I don’t want to but she’s asked me to 😀.

I wrote the above yesterday and then got busy. I can’t tell you what I did but I was out and about on the ship. We were in Nassau for the day but I stayed onboard. I’ve been to Nassau many times. There was a bit of knitting but not enough for another picture.

I was up early this morning (6am) and went down to get a tea at Starbucks and lost $20 in the casino while drinking it. I came back to my room and there was an announcement over the loud speaker. A passenger was having a medical emergency (we know now that they are okay) so we were going to head back to Miami. We were just floating around for our sea day so he stepped on it and we were docked in Miami within 1.5 hours. The person was taken off and now we’re drifting again in the ocean. We can see Miami and will be back tomorrow morning.
These pictures are from our trip back out to the ocean.

We’re drifting and I’m sitting on my balcony. It is cloudy so it’s not too hot to sit out here. I’m going to hit Publish and knit for a bit. I’m supposed to land in Toronto around 4 tomorrow so it won’t be a late evening however I doubt there will be time to post. I’m going to throw clothes in the laundry and get to bed early. I have lots of orders to pull on Saturday morning - thanks everyone!!
