Rowan Felted Tweed

Week four of Snowflower is finished. I have a lot of knitting to do this week - I’m two weeks behind.
I had some help taking pictures.

Churchmouse Yarns sent out a newsletter last week talking about Rowan Felted Tweed. They love the yarn as much as I do. We have all colours in stock right now.

“Grandfather style with a modern, playful touch!”

With the Go-To Cardigan, we set out to create a knit that had the comfort and ease of a grandfather’s cardigan with a touch more style—a sweater you want to wrap up in on the weekend, but can wear to work and feel well dressed! For an even more updated look, we added fun colorblocking.

This cozy cardigan was knit in three colors of Rowan Felted Tweed, one of our all-time favorite yarns. On the finer side of DK-weight, this warm, woolly yarn blends merino wool with alpaca and viscose. As a result, it has softness and spring, drape and luster—and so many beautiful color options!

For this colorblocked version of our Go-To Cardigan, we picked two tonal shades of Felted Tweed with one playful accent color. Pick up the pattern below and select a colorway—for a full selection of colors, head over to the Rowan Felted Tweed page.

You can purchase the pattern from Churchmouse.

This cardigan is designed with approx. 4–6" of ease, but because the shoulder is dropped slightly, it’s a little more forgiving in the fit. You can choose a size that will fit more closely or more oversized.

“Fair Isle fun in six colorwork charts.”

A delicious taste of stranded colorwork, this cute cap is fun and engaging, and still simple enough for first time stranders! We’ve created a four-color motif, which—as is traditional—uses only two colors per row. Then, we came up with three different color palettes and six different charts (two charts for each palette). And then threw in one more ‘plain’ chart, so that you can make up your own colorway!

This Colorwork Cap shines in a finer DK-weight, warm and woolly yarn with a great color palette. So we picked perennial favorite Rowan Felted Tweed!

You can purchase the pattern from Churchmouse.
