New patterns and a pattern sale

This is the Rad Plaid Cowl from Andrea Mowry (pattern purchased on Ravelry).

The Rad Plaid Cowl combines 3 colors and simple slipped stitches to create a fun plaid fabric with endless color combo possibilities! This cowl style is perfect for colorwork projects because the floats are hidden inside, and it is so easy to style. Just pop it on to finish any outfit and add a little cozy to your day! It begins with a provisional cast on and is then knit as a tube in the round, twisted once and grafted together using the Kitchener stitch.

The pattern calls for a fingering weight yarn, a lace weight mohair and then a multi.
I quickly put together a few combinations. The yarn is Emma’s Practically Perfect Sock and Suri Silk with Dyed in the Wool. This is Set Sail and The Saddest Place.
Dusk ‘til Dawn and Ranunculus
Sweet Magnolia and Verba Volant
Sprout with Deep Bump

You have many options.
Fingering weight - here is a link to all our fingering weights - it will take me forever to type them all in
Mohair - Rowan Kidsilk Haze, Biches & Buches Le Petit Silk & Mohair, HH Kidsilk Lace, Emma’s Suri Silk
Multi - Dyed in the Wool, Zauberball Crazy

Stephen West has a new pattern. You can purchase the pattern for the Striped Tile Socks on Ravelry.
These top-down socks feature three colors of fingering weight yarn. The checkered stripes are knit with alternating sections of garter stitch and slipped stitches. You can easily customize the length of the leg and foot by knitting more pattern repeats for a longer leg and foot or knit fewer pattern repeats for shorter sizes. The heel flap is knit in garter stitch and there is a nice and easy flow throughout the pattern. The instructions are written for three colors, but feel free to use as many colors as you like.

Cheryl Faust is having a pattern sale. You can see all her patterns on Ravelry.

I am totally addicted to Bluegrass. I get to play with lots of colour and the brioche makes it interesting.
If you are afraid of Brioche I suggest purchasing the pattern and following Wool & Pine’s video. It is 45 minutes long and they walk you through every row of the shawl. Pull out some scrap yarn (thickness doesn’t matter) and follow along. You will master Brioche quickly.

I’m really early today. I had time to write in the store and this leaves me knitting time tonight. Beth commented last night that I might not get it done for Chicago. I’m going to show her!!!
