Avena is a new pattern from Jennifer Steingass.

This circular yoke sweater takes a surprising twist with diagonal colorwork cascading down from the neckline. Enjoy simple, engaging, and meditative knitting as the branches swirl around the yoke as you work. I used 2 shades that are similar in both color and darkness, for a smooth transition through the colorwork. Your color choices can change the theme of this design entirely. I see pine boughs, feathers, golden grain swaying in the wind, or a sunlit meadow. DK or worsted weight yarn are suitable for this pattern. The yoke is beginner friendly with memorizable motifs and top down, seamless construction makes it easy to try on this sweater as you knit.

My thought is Cascade 220 Superwash Merino for the body and Malabrigo Rios for the contrast.

For the top picture I used Cascade 220 Superwash Merino in colour 106. The bottom picture is 27. I used a neutral colour but we can find you a colour of Rios to go with any colour of 220 Superwash Merino.

Mr. UPS stopped by this morning with a box from Spincycle. We have a new colour of Dyed in the Wool. Meet Rosy Maple.

Fever Dreams is a pattern from Spincycle Yarns (purchased on Ravelry). This is the original that was knit in Versus.

Spincycle has reworked the shawl using Versus and Dyed in the Wool.

Spincycle used Smoke & Mirrors Versus with Rusted Rainbow Dyed in the Wool. 

Here are a few options. Smoke & Mirrors with Absolute Zero.

Time & Tide with Absolute Zero.

Tea & Shade with Rosy Maple. Tea & Shade is more lime than the picture is showing but I didn’t have time to take skeins outside.
