Matchstick

Meet Sweetie. This is a new pattern from Brian Smith (you can purchase it on Ravelry).

Worked sideways, this triangle shawl uses slipped stitches to create a hexagon pattern that blends from one skein into the next.

The shawl is knit with two skeins of Hedgehog Skinny Singles - Matchstick and Crystal. The stitch pattern is great and Brian chose gorgeous colours.

Matchstick - speckled gray with a touch of teal and orange. So versatile.

There is a hint of denim blue as well. I wasn’t sold on the colour when Hedgehog introduced it but when it arrived I really liked it.

Here is another pattern from my Ravelry pattern library. We knit up Aileen (pattern purchased on Ravelry) for a store sample and the vest is stunning. The yarn is Zara from Filatura Di Crosa. Our sample is 6 years old and looks as good as the day that it was knit.
A slightly fitted vest knit in one piece from the bottom up with armbands and collar picked up.

We have changed our curbside pick up hours for January.
Tuesday 10am-3pm
Thursday 10am-3pm
Saturday 10am-1pm

Don’t forget that the Shibui / Madelinetosh collaboration will be available on January 7. I am going to get everything online so it will go live at 12am on the 7th.

Now it’s time to clean the house. The lady who makes our house sparkle is coming tomorrow so everything has to be tidied before she gets here 😘
