Striped Turtle Toes

This morning I put together colour combinations for Andrea Mowry’s Hug Hug Kiss Kiss.

These combinations are all Malabrigo Rios. The first five pictures use Natural as the main colour. You will need 2 skeins of the main colour and one skein of each contrast.

From Malabrigo
Soft, strong, and washable, this 4-ply yarn is our workhorse! The plies help resist pilling and washability makes it fantastic for frequently-worn garments, housewares, and children and baby clothes. And like all our yarns, it’s super soft and great for next-to-the-skin wear! Spun from our premium superwash merino, it comes in an array of watercolor-multi, semi-solid, and variegated colorways.

Then I used the same three contrast colours and changed the background. The picture above is Ivory and below is Gris
If you see colours of Rios you like on the website I can send you a picture of them together.

Here are a few more colours that will be coming from Turtlepurl

Turtlepurl’s “Striped Turtle Toes” hand-dyed, self-striping sock yarn is a beautiful 4 ply, 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon sock yarn. It is truly a joy to knit with and is soft, strong and durable.

We are "dyeing for you to match"! We've made it easy! Turtlepurl's yarn has been dyed to be self-striping. Both strands were dyed together. This will create matching socks that can be easily knit 2 at a time. For matching socks, ensure you start from the same end of each ball. Then watch the magic happen!

There is plenty of yarn for a large pair of socks, or a small scarf.

Blogger is starting to act up so I’m going to sign off and knit before I become frustrated. It’s time to start Minikin #8. I might finish this weekend and then I can send the shawl to my very special blocking person.
