New Rowan and Mode

It is windy and cool at the cottage. This morning I started adding the new Mode yarns and patterns to the website. The yarns are on and I’m adding the patterns. More will be there tomorrow. It was a slow process. The wifi was slow, I brought the small iPad and I should have brought the larger one. I forgot to bring my packing slips so I’m flipping between screens. It was frustrating so I stopped, knit for a bit and then had a nap. I’m back at the website again while everyone went fishing.
Mode has moved away from books and is offering leaflets this fall.

You can find the Mode and Rowan patterns here. The newest patterns are listed first to make it easier to find everything for Autumn/Winter 2024.
The new Rowan magazines are online as well.

Tomorrow I will add the descriptions for the Rowan magazines.
Here are the three yarns from Mode.

Alpaca Haze is a blend of super soft alpaca and wool ideal for creating delicate but warm knits Knitters of all skill levels will appreciate the ease with which this yarn glides through their fingers.

Alpaca Haze is a substitute for Rowan Kidsilk Haze if you’d like to knit with Alpaca and not Mohair.

Softest Alpaca is a luxurious blend of alpaca, merino, selectively sourced with care from the Andean Highlands. This yarn is as light as a feather with a fluffy brushed texture, making it versatile for both simple and complex stitches.

Softest Alpaca is an Aran weight yarn - 18 stitches = 4” on 5.5mm needles.

Alpaca Cotton is a featherlight yarn, showcasing an subtle colour palette. Its airy feel and romantic halo are achieved by filling delicate cotton mesh with luxurious alpaca fibers. The result is a lightweight yarn with incredible meterage and spectacular texture.

Alpaca Cotton is the same yarn as Rowan’s Alpaca Classic. The labels might be different but the yarn is the same - even the colour names are the same.

My to do list tomorrow is long. I’m heading home in the morning so that I can pack orders. Then I’ll get back to the website. New Opal to be added. Emma’s new colours to be added. A newsletter needs to be finished. Mark Saturday September 14th on your calendar. We are doing something special in the store and you won’t want to miss it. The store will be open early and we’ll stay open a bit later. After that I’ll get back to the Rowan and Mode patterns.

Now I’m heading back to my knitting. Have a good evening - I hope everyone had a great holiday Monday.
