This week we are featuring Party of Five kits.
English Bay Party of Five set, from our 2016 collection, was inspired by Vancouver’s spectacular seawall near Stanley Park. Like the waves that ebb and flow into the land, the shades of Basil, Deep Cove, Sapphire, Nightshade, and Wisteria blend effortlessly. Each set contains five 105-yards mini skeins for a total of 525 yds / 480 m. 80% Superwash merino, 20% NylonI used one Party of Five kit to knit Hitchhiker. I went up needle size and it is a great sized scarf.
The Abode Shawl (pattern available on Ravelry) is knit with one Party of Five and one skein of Tough Love Sock.
Magmatic Boom (pattern purchased on Ravelry) is knit with one Party of Five.
Curiosa is knit with one Party of Five and one skein of Sweetgeorgia Tough Love Sock. You can find this pattern on Ravelry.
The shawl has an asymmetrical, elongated triangular shape that grows from one point toward the opposite side. It begins with a few stitches at one tip and is worked lengthwise on the bias. The first section is worked in broken rib. The middle section switches to tilting blocks, before finishing with a short block of more broken ribbing. Because this shawl is worked from one end to the other, the size of the shawl can be adjusted by working more or fewer rows of each section. One Party of Five makes Summer Brights (pattern purchased on Ravelry).
Texture and lace know no bounds in this poppin’ little shawl. Bold hues brighten the wardrobe for those air-conditioned rooms, while the subtle eyelets paired with garter stitch build skills and bring knitters of every level easy joy.
I haven’t mentioned socks yet. Yes Socks. The yarn is 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The perfect combination for socks.
Party of Five kits are on sale for $35 from now until Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 12pm EST. You can order on the website and have the yarn shipped or you can pick it up.
All sales final. No returns.
