Coming Soon

The Big Brown Truck should be visiting on Tuesday with more colours of Lore from The Fibre Co.
The Fibre Co had different combinations of Meet Me at Midnight in their booth at TNNA.
Like the perfectly aligned hands of a clock at midnight, the exquisite center spine stitches of Meet Me at Midnight are designed to beautifully meet in the middle. (Be sure to check out those edge stitches too, which are are equally divine!) These features, combined with fun and surprisingly simple to knit bands of mosaic and texture will make this knitting project one you’ll not want to put down.
Meet Me at Midnight is an elongated triangular shawl, knit flat, from the top down. Its gorgeous mosaic pattern is surprisingly simple to knit, using just one color per row to create stunning results.
Meet Me at Midnight is gorgeous all knit up with The Fibre Co’s Lore. My sample is knit using 2 high contrasting shades for the mosaic sections, plus one light/mid tone shade for textured bands in between. Please note that I used almost the entire skeins of Colors B & C.
Processed in a mill in England’s historical textile region of West Yorkshire, Lore is made of 100% lambswool from the Romney sheep breed also referred to locally as Kent lamb. It is an honest woolen spun DK weight yarn that blooms into a beautiful knitted fabric after washing.  Garments made from Lore will wear well and are perfect for everyday and special adventures alike.  We named this yarn Lore to honour the stories we create with wool. Great stories happen to those who knit them.

I placed an order this morning for more stitch markers. These are so cute. We should see them at the beginning of September (which isn't that far in the future) - they are being shipped from British Columbia.

They come in a very cute decorative tin.

We have a guest for the weekend. Meet Sammy. Sammy is Roko's half brother. They have the same parents - Sammy was one litter before Roko. They could have been twins.
Beth tried to tell me that Sammy is afraid of the dishwasher, vacuum, broom and toilet bowl cleaner. It was her excuse so that she didn't have to clean this weekend. I'm going with Sammy doesn't like me sitting at the computer so I can't work anymore.
Lucy and Sammy love each other. Beth took this picture at work. They're always together.
