Dotted Rays Speckled Fade

Barbara finished her Dotted Rays Speckled Fade. It is gorgeous!
This is the Dotted Rays Speckled Fade that Alex knit for me. I love this shawl. The pattern is by Stephen West and you can purchase it on Ravelry.
This top-down shawl is a colorful variation of the original Dotted Rays design. Choose 5 or 6 colors and create your own gradient by striping the colors together using the Speckled Fade color technique. Westknits shortcut rows with yarn over holes form the long curved shape. Select between the multiple border options and knit a large or super large sized shawl.
Linda shared her work earlier this year. It is so gorgeous that it should be shared again.

Here is Rita's Dotted Rays.

I went back through past blog posts and found more finished Dotted Rays.
This is another of Linda's Dotted Rays. She likes this pattern - the next picture is hers as well.

Here is Andrea's.
And the shawl that Alex knit for herself.

Thanks ladies for sharing your amazing work. I could play with colour combinations for days. Bright. Earthy. Monochromatic. Pastels.....

If you haven't knit a Stephen West pattern I highly recommend it. His patterns are so well written and he has videos for techniques that you might not be familiar with. Most of his shawls look like they are for advanced knitters but they aren't. One tip - don't read the whole pattern before you start. Cast on and go. You could see confusing instructions but when you get to that part of the pattern it will make sense.
