Marled Mania

©Stephen West
I was up early this morning doing work and started poking around on Ravelry. Stephen West has a new pattern called the Marled Mania Cardigan.
Gather your favorite colors to knit this long marled colorful sweater. Hold two strands of fingering weight yarn throughout the entire project to use all those leftover bits of wool, alpaca, and mohair. Qing Fibre Melted Suri is featured for the super soft and fluffy ribbed yoke & cuffs. The top-down sweater continues into the garter stitch body with a ribbed underarm detail. The body and sleeve lengths are customizable. Knit a shorter version or continue for a long dramatic length like the red sample. This swingy sweater with fitted sleeves will become your favorite layer during chilly days!

I think it's safe to assume that most of us have leftover fingering weight yarn at home.

Why not put them together for an interesting cardigan? My cardigan would be greys, purples and teals. This would be a very different look than Stephen's. Maybe a bit more subtle?

We have a new book from Rowan.
A collection of 8 handknit designs by Quail Studio. From cardigans to sweaters, this collection features quality and timeless designs with a classic look.

Don't forget that fall hours have started.

Beth and I have been working on our Thursday Night Camp Games. It can be a challenge to come up with new games and I think we've done a very good job this year. Beth is like Julie McCoy. She is the fun committee for Camp. It is her job to make sure that everyone is having a good time.

I should probably start thinking about the clothes that I am going to take. I'm leaving Ancaster around noon on Wednesday. The washing machine is going to be busy tomorrow night.

Speaking of busy - Lynn is going to have a few ends to sew in tomorrow. Espe is almost dry.
