Colour Popportunities

Stephen West has a new blanket pattern. It is gorgeous. What a great stash buster. Stephen knits the blanket in DK weight - if you take your fingering weight yarns and hold two together you will get DK weight.

This blanket is filled with color popportunities as you knit the small baby blanket size or a large blanket for your couch. One color of DK weight yarn frames several color pops. The baby blanket features five color pops and the large size features eight color pops. The slip stitch technique is very easy to knit, making this blanket suitable for an adventurous beginner project. Choose your colors and knit the blanket as big as you want!

You can purchase the pattern on Stephen’s Website.

This is Bean & Olive Grow up from Andrea Mowry. You can purchase the pattern on Andrea’s website.
Last year I had so much fun designing the Bean & Olive sweater for my daughter (Olive) and Adella of Lolabean Yarn Co.’s daughter (Lola, aka Bean)! After I was done knitting Olive’s, I knew I wanted one for myself. Thankfully, y’all mirrored that desire on Instagram and Ravelry - so I got busy making the grown-up version for those of us that are kids at heart!

The yarn is DK weight and there is a size for everyone.

No, you haven’t missed the shipment from Turtlepurl. It sat in Mississauga from 2 weeks before they sent it to Montreal. Now it says that they are processing it and then it will head back to Ontario. Maybe for the beginning of next week???

We are going to be running in the store tomorrow so it’s early to bed tonight. It looks like we might be seeing boxes from Madelinetosh (2), Hedgehog (3) and Harrisville (2). We could see 2 boxes from Sweetgeorgia as well.

The list is way too long to tell you what is coming but I will summarize

Hedgehog

  • Sock
  • Skinny Singles
  • Alpaca Boucle
  • Kidsilk Lace
  • Twist Sock
  • DK
  • Sock minis
Madelinetosh
  • Tosh DK
  • Vintage
  • Merino Light
  • Unicorn Tails
  • Twist Light
It is going to be a colour explosion!
