Slub

Caitlin Hunter (Boyland Knitworks) has a new pattern called the Painted Pullover (pattern purchased on Ravelry)

The Painted Pullover is a top-down, seamless raglan mock-turtleneck sweater with a boxy, relaxed fit. The loose gauge gives this sweater lovely, flattering drape and is extremely comfortable to wear!

The shaping of this design is fairly simple, the interest comes from the painterly effect of the 3 colors used blending in and out, interspersed with occasional purl rounds for textural interest. Painted was designed specifically to highlight the textural qualities and stunning colors of Essence of Autumn’s Pearl Merino, a fingering weight slub yarn. This sweater would be beautiful in alternative yarns as well- I recommend looking with 3 highly variegated colors to make the most of the gentle blending effect, and of course swatch to make sure you can achieve gauge!

Caitlin used a slub yarn for the sweater. I put together a couple of combinations using Old Soul Fiber Co. Soul Slub.

Fans of the original FlexiFlips and FlexiFlips XL will be delighted to see the new FlexiFlips² [squared] Long joining this popular line of innovative DPNs.

Cast-on to an effortless method of knitting socks, cuffs, hats, and many of other projects which are worked in the round, with skacel FlexiFlips² [squared] Long, by addi®. Originally developed by "CraSy" Sylvie Rasch in collaboration with addi® and made specifically for North America, these specially designed 11.8" rounded-square shaped circulars rest comfortably in the hand, and act as flexible double pointed needles. Easy to use, stitches are simply distributed over two needles, and then knit with the third - resulting in only two needle changes per row. Each tip is 5” long (1.8" of cord) and ideal for larger hands or those seeking more tip length.

Both tips feature the new addi® Rocket² [squared] design. Extremely versatile and comfortable to hold, FlexiFlips² [squared] Long are sure to hold their own within the FlexiFlips line!

I ordered sock sizes for now and you can order online. If you are interested in other sizes, please let me know. I am ordering Addi needles weekly.

It happened. I cast on Skylights (pattern purchased on Ravelry). I’m using Akari colour 13 and Le Petit Silk & Mohair in light grey. Tanis writes a pattern that is easy to follow.
Knitting while playing dominos is a good thing - I whomped dad and Beth.
