String Quintets

The Crazy Daisy Cowl
Once you master “flowers in a row” stitch it is easily memorized and fun. The colors change for each section, but the pattern is equally pretty in fewer color combinations or in a solid. Shades of grey to black would be stunning. The cowl pictured, used a cast on of 156 stitches but this is easily altered by adding multiples of 6 to make a longer cowl.We used a String Quintet bundle by Lorna’s Laces. Each color weighed approximately 26 grams and we used approximately 12 grams from each color. Obviously this estimate will change slightly given gauge and needle size but we had more than half the yarn left so make it as long as you like.Go crazy and express your inner daisy and use up all those bits of leftover sock yarn too!

The pattern is purchased on Ravelry and uses one String Quintet kit from Lorna's Laces. We have 5 new colourways in stock.

The yarn is Shepherd Sock. 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The kit has a total of 489m (535 yards).

We used a String Quintet kit to make the Rainbow Cowl (pattern purchased on Ravelry)

Isn't it Romantic? (pattern purchased on Ravelry) is knit with one String Quintet kit.

I started my post in the store and then forgot to finish it. It's time to go. There are 13 minutes left in the hockey game.
