Sweater Surgery

My sweater is dry and I tried it on. The neck is way too wide.
It’s hard to tell in my dark turtle neck.
I drew a white line so you can see where the neckband sits on me. I kept trying to pull the neckband up when I was wearing it.
I wasn’t happy with it so I’ve been contemplating what to do. The sweater is knit top down so I can’t take out the neck and redo it. I decided to pick up along the cast on edge. Then I knit 6 rows and this matches the sweater and sleeve cast offs. On the first row I decreased some stitches to pull it in a bit.

Here it is finished. It sits so much better. I would need to change clothes to get pictures and that isn’t in my near future. Beth and I will do photos tomorrow. Now I need to sew in the ends. 😂

Sirdar has some new spring/summer patterns. They are knit in DK weight - perfect for Rowan Summerlite DK. You can purchase this pattern on Ravelry.

Here is a link to the pattern on Ravelry.

It’s time for a movie and knitting. I’m leaving the ends for tomorrow when I can bring a proper sewing needle home from the store. I can’t find mine. I need to get into my sewing room and find all my accessories.
