This is the story of when you let the yarn tell you what it wants to be. I held on to this yarn for the better part of 3 years. It definitely fell into that “I love it so much I’m afraid to use to it” category. So I waited. I swatched. I sketched. I cast on, I tore it out, I tried again. And then it all fell into place. Sweet eyelets, delicate bobbles, a soft halo, and my new favorite sweater. I love it so much, I wore it during my Keynote speech as Knitting Live. I hope you will love it, too!
This sweater is knit from the top down (meaning you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your own personal style!), beginning with the collar. The circular yoke is adorned with sweet little eyelets and bobbles. Once the yoke is completed, you will separate the sleeves placing them on hold while the body is finished and then the sleeves are returned to the needle, picking up stitches for the underarm for a totally seamless sweater!
We’re at sea today and I’m sitting on my balcony. The sun is shining (sorry) and it’s almost too hot.
The pilot boat. The pilot comes out and navigates the ship into the port. He is more familiar with the water than the captain of the ship.
A farmers market. The fruits and vegetables looked amazing.
Now it’s time for a bit of knitting. I had a huge lunch so dinner is on hold for a while. Probably some pizza later. The ship has very good pizza. Have a good evening. Tomorrow is another sea day and I hope to divide for my sleeves.
