Winter Albina is a new sweater from Caitlin Hunter.
Albina Chunky is a cold-weather version of the Albina sweater. This pattern is knitted from the top down, starting at the back and worked to the base of the armholes. Then, the front shoulders are picked up and knitted separately, working from the top down to the edge of the front neck. After joining both front sections, the front is worked to the armholes. Then, the front and back are joined and knitted in the round down to the hem. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. Finally, the collar stitches are picked up and worked outwards from the body in the round.
The fit is oversized in the body and more fitted in the sleeves and can be easily adjusted for different sleeve and body length preferences.
You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.
The sweater is knit in worsted weight yarn. Testers used Malabrigo Rios, Cascade 220 Heathers and Spincycle Dream State.
I really like the look of this sweater. It’s simple and looks cozy.
I started the day with a migraine. I have great medication that takes it away but it leaves me in a fog for the day. I spent some time sitting and working on my Temperature Blanket. Putting yarn away wasn’t an option. Thankfully Lynn is back from vacation and will be here next week cleaning my mess. There is so much yarn to be put away.I’m two days behind.
