She finished a scarf in Classic Elite Liberty Wool last night. It's blocking right now. I'll get a better picture in a couple days when it is dry. She used double strand of Liberty on 7mm needles. The colours turned out great.
Then the decision. What should she make next? She decided that she wanted to knit with 10 colours of Amuri Hand Dyed. I suggested a funky, striped scarf but she came up with the idea of a fair isle scarf.
It took a few tries but we figured out which colour would be which. Then she took baggies, I think all the baggies left in our kitchen, and marked each bag with the colour.
Then the math started to happen. She decided to do less stitches. According to her she is a bit short on yardage but I think it's because she wants it to knit up quicker. There is a 22 stitch repeat and an 8 stitch repeat so the numbers have to work. We've got that worked out and now she is finding her needle.
I was updating the website today (Rowan Magazine #55, Silkystones, Pure Linen and the new colours of Cotton Glace, Fine Lace and Kidsilk Haze are up now) and I had to go to the Rowan website to get information. There are more Kaffe Fassett free patterns available. He really is amazing!
