Lang Linello

The new colours of Lang Linello will be arriving when I get home next week.

Linello is a beautiful yarn made of linen, cotton and just a small percentage of viscose. The composition is not only breath-taking but it’s also breathable material. Perfect for hot summer days and balmy evenings.

40% Linen, 32% Cotton and 28% Viscose

280m on a 100gram ball

The suggested needle sizes are 3.5mm - 4mm. Lang is suggesting a tension of 20 stitches = 4”. I am suggesting that you swatch the yarn to see the gauge that you like.

This scarf is called Easy (you can find it here on Ravelry - there are a lot of patterns called Easy) and we used one ball of Linello and 3.25mm needles.

THE DETAILS
FINISHED SIZE 
Approx. 7 x 98”/18 x 249cm, after blocking (bias width across stitches in direction of needle will measure approx. 11”/28cm).

YARN 
2 skeins Lang Linello (306 yds/280m each); Or approx. 500 yds/457m of an equivalent worsted-weight yarn.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS 
US 8 (5mm) needles, or size to obtain gauge.

You will follow the pattern but use 5mm needles instead of the needles that are written.  

A few people on Ravelry used Linello to make the Sophie Scarf. They used 4mm needles and the finished scarf looks great.

Someone knit The Shift by Andrea Mowry with 2 balls of Linello.

Diana is knitting us a store sample of the Traveler Cowl in Linello. She is using colour 56. I think we are going to knit the cowl on 3.5mm needles. I don’t want the stitches too tight but I don’t want them so loose that the cowl sags.
