Enjoy the Ride

The snow is coming down in Ancaster. I was in the store until 4:30 and then it really started to accumulate. I waited as long as possible because Mr. UPS was coming with a box from Spincycle.
These are both Dyed in the Wool Frosty Nights. Because they are slightly different I have listed them separately on the website. Spincycle does not put dye lots on their yarn but we give them a dye lot so customers can choose the colours they like the best.

From the wonderful ladies at Spincycle
After a decade of operating exclusively as a handspinnery, we set our sights on finding a way to merge the beauty and texture of a handspun yarn with a more efficiently produced millspun yarn. Dyed In The Wool is that yarn.
Our mill is located on Queen Street in Bellingham, Washington, and runs seven days a week. We dye in-house as well, in the same fashion we used to dye when we were handspinning. Our pots are bigger, though! Because we dye the fiber before it's spun, colors meet and part ways in stunning, unique combinations; the overall effect is of a balanced, seamless whole.
Our color transitions are slow and dramatic, and each skein is unique. Lots  - and even skeins within lots - vary pretty wildly! That's our charm and it won't change!  It is strongly recommended that you purchase all skeins at once so that we can make sure they match well. Allow for nuance, and enjoy the ride.

Baby Crofter DK is now available online.
Sirdar Snuggly Baby Crofter Dk is a gorgeously soft yarn with an incredible Fair Isle colour effect that appears as you knit. Inspired by the gentlest colours of the Scotland Highlands, Snuggly Baby Crofter Dk is the same wonderfully soft blend of 55% nylon and 45% acrylic as Snuggly Dk, and is machine washable and easy care. This yarn will also knit to all Sirdar double knitting baby patterns.
Here are some great patterns that you can purchase on Ravelry. We have many more leaflets in the store.

My drive home was okay but took a lot longer than normal. Most days I take the back roads but today I took the main streets. I'm glad I left when it was still light out. We haven't had as much snow as they predicted but it is blowing like crazy. There is no sense shovelling now but we'll have to be up early in the morning. This means a bit of knitting and then early to bed.
