Gnarled Oak

I thought I was going to bed early last night but those plans fell through. We were on the edge of our seats watching baseball. Hopefully the Tigers can knock out the Yankees tonight. This means another late night.

Yesterday I talked about the new book Coastal Knits. Gnarled Oak is one of the patterns that I am considering knitting-okay, having someone knit for me. :)
A basic cardigan that features a stunning, embossed cabled oak leaf motif. Gnarled Oak is knit in one piece from the bottom up. The sleeves are knit separately and joined at the yoke.
Finished Measurements - The great thing about the patterns in the book is that there is a huge size range.
Chest circumference (closed): 32 (35¾, 39½, 43, 46¾)[50½, 54, 57¾, 61½]" / 81.5 (91, 100, 109.5, 118.5)[128, 137.5, 146.5, 156] cm
Body length: 21½ (22½, 23½, 24½, 25½) [26½, 27½, 28½, 29½]" / 54.5 (57, 59.5, 62, 65)[67.5, 70, 72.5, 75] cm
Shown in size 35 ¾" / 91cm; to be worn with 0–2" / 0–5cm of positive ease.
Yarn
1150 (1300, 1425, 1600, 1800)[1950, 2150, 2350, 2550] yds / 1050 (1200, 1300, 1475, 1650)[1775, 1975, 2150, 2325] m of DK weight wool blend like Madelinetosh Tosh DK or Madelinetosh Tosh Merino DK
There is no knitting to report and I don't think there will be any tonight. Unfortunately I need to sit in front of the computer and do some accounting. YUCK!!

There hasn't been much calculating. I'm trying to write a newsletter and am having a hard time.

That sweater is gorgeous. And I love the colour. What colour are you thinking of?
