The Ida Tee is worked from the top down in a pattern of texture and contrast colored stripes. The first part of the yoke is worked flat, back and forth, while the neckline is being shaped. After this, the work is joined in the round, so the rest of the yoke can be worked in the round on the circular needle with raglan increases. At the end, stitches are picked up and knitted along the neckline and a neck edge in rib is worked.
The Tee is knit in dk weight yarn. Please swatch before you start. I know I sound like a broken record but swatching is important. If you use a dk weight yarn on 3.5mm needles you might find that the fabric is very tight. If you knit a dk weight yarn on 3.75mm-4mm needles you should achieve the tension that is required for the sweater.
If you want a lighter, drapier sweater I think you can get the tension using a fingering weight yarn on 3.5mm - 3.75mm needles.
Mr. Canada Post stopped by the store this morning with a box from SweetGeorgia Yarns. We have a restock of Tough Love Sock.
I have lots to update on the website but that’s a tomorrow job. I did update the Juniper Moon Patagonia - light grey arrived for anyone waiting to make the DRK Everyday Cardi.
In case you missed this on a previous post, here is a chart showing how many skeins you need to make the cardigan. Now I’m going to knit on mine. Lynn is at the ribbing on the body. I am never going to catch up.
