Three Season Tee

Wool & Pine has another new pattern. This is called the Three Season Tee and you can purchase the pattern on Ravelry.

Three Season Tee, Cardigan, and Pullover are all 30% off through April 13th — no code needed, discount applies automatically at checkout.

Three Season Tee has been the most requested pattern we’ve ever published. We get it. You loved the cardigan but you wanted short sleeves. A tee for the warm months, one that’s light and flirty, a knit you could actually wear in July. Here it is.

Seamless, top-down, with the same cables, lace, and rich textured stitch work you fell in love with, now in a v-neck tee designed for late spring through early fall. Style it up or down, either way you’ll wear it May through November.

Design Details

Not to be smug about it, but we love a clean shoulder join. So the shaping flows naturally with the stitches through the shoulders, the front, and the back neckline, for a fit that’s easy and comfortable all day.

Customize the length and ease to make it your own, choose less for a slimmer fit or more so it’s loose and breezy. Bonus points for the built-in air conditioning: lace sides that let you breathe, with stunning cables and texture running front and back so you can show off your knitting prowess from every angle.

Pattern Highlights

  • Seamless top-down construction
  • V-neckline shaped at the front and back
  • Cables, lace, and textured stitch work on both front and back
  • Scaled motif for visual balance across all sizes
  • Customizable length and ease

Construction Overview

Three Season Tee is worked seamlessly from the top down. The front panels begin with a provisional cast-on and are worked flat, then joined at the v-neck and continued flat to the underarm.

Back shoulders are picked up from the provisional cast-on and worked flat with back-of-neck shaping, then joined and worked as one piece down to the armholes.

At the underarm, the body is joined and worked in the round. The neckline and armholes are both picked up and finished with ribbing in the round.

The sweater is knit in fingering weight yarn. You can do a hand dyed yarn like Emma’s Practically Perfect Sock or Malabrigo Sock or go with a commercial dyed yarn like Kathmandu Fingering.

Most hand dyed yarns do not have a dye lot. Sweet Georgia Tough Love sock does come to us with dye lots on the labels. When we receive yarn from Emma’s or Hedgehog we put a number on the skeins. I think the last shipment was 392. In one shipment we might receive 4, 6, 8 or 12 of a colour. All skeins of that colour (from the same shipment) will have the same number. When you order any yarn from Emma’s or Hedgehog we will make sure that the lots (our numbers) match. You will not be receiving yarn that wasn’t dyed together. If we can’t match the skeins we will contact you and send pictures if necessary.

I took a break from ‘getting the store in order’ to write my post. This also gave me a chance to sit and watch the golf. I’m early today which will give me more knitting time tonight 🥰.
