Washted

This is our Traveler Shawl knit in Malabrigo Washted (Arco Iris). I put together some new kits this afternoon in the store. The skeins in the pictures are the skeins you will receive. 

This shawl was so much fun to knit. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. All you need to know is knit, purl and make 1. A new knitter can knit the shawl and it is relaxing for a seasoned knitter.

Washted - A superwash version of the classic Worsted Merino base. While remaining true to the original softness of worsted, we ‘washed it’ so you can too, allowing more freedom and ease of care. Having the same weight as Worsted, it can be used interchangeably for any projects you may have planned for Worsted. Like all our yarns, it is kettle-dyed in small batches by our artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty. 

I did a Google search of Washted to see if Malabrigo had any beauty shots of the yarn. I couldn’t find any but here is a link to Malabrigo’s facebook page. Someone knit Andrea Mowry’s Comfort Fade Cardi in Washted and it is beautiful.

I am going to start working through kits on the website and add new colourways. It’s time to get ready for fall. That is tomorrow’s job. It’s time to relax and knit.
