Beth who was up most of the night before with me when I was sick. Then she came and helped on little sleep.
Lynn who was there bright and early with her usual smile. She stayed after the store closed to continue putting things away for me.
The volunteers who came early to help us set up. They hustled. Set up tables. Carried out books and boxes. It was amazing.
Part way through the morning it started to rain. We covered up the books and threw the hand dyed yarns in the shed. Before we knew what was happening everyone who was shopping boxed everything up and brought it into the store. Thank you to everyone who helped with this. It didn’t rain long but we couldn’t bring everything back outside.

We collected $510 for CityKidz that I will be sending to them this week.
We’re having steak, baked potatoes and beans for dinner. One of dad’s favourite meals. Then chocolate cake for desert. He has been spoiled today. Beth went and got us Dairy Queen sundaes (dad’s favourite) and bought him DQ gift cards along with candies he likes from Denningers.
It’s time for me to cut the beans and then cook the steaks. I hope you and your families are having a good afternoon.
