This is Cheryl Faust’s Everglow. I blogged about this a while ago and a customer asked me to send pictures of possible combinations. I’m sharing here because the shawl is beautiful and others might be interested in what I put together.
Everglow celebrates a glow that lingers — the soft light at dusk, the warmth that remains after the sun has set, the sense of continuity between where we’ve been and where we’re going.
Everglow is a contemporary triangular shawl knit from the top down. From its I-cord cast-on, the shawl unfolds gradually, allowing the shifting tones to reveal themselves at a satisfying pace.
The striking mosaic stitch pattern creates visual depth while remaining approachable, as the colorwork is worked with just one color per row. Subtle shifts add interest without disrupting the flow of the knit, making Everglow both engaging and meditative on the needles.
The finished shawl drapes beautifully and styles effortlessly — worn wrapped close for warmth or loosely layered as an everyday accessory. Everglow is designed to feel timeless yet contemporary, offering a quiet statement through thoughtful detail and refined construction.

For these combinations I used Malabrigo Rios with Spincycle Dream State. By the pattern yardage you need 3 skeins of each. I haven’t purchased the pattern but it looks like a repeat that can be continued to make the shawl bigger.

Another option for the main colour is Black Rios. Black goes with everything and you will get a stained glass effect. I could go on for days putting together combinations but we have boxes to unpack. Alex is here today helping. Then she has a shawl and two cowls to take home to block.

I’m almost to the halfway point of my sleeve which has me thinking about new colours. I will wait to start another until the sweater is blocked - I’ll be blocking my sweater. And sewing in the ends. 😂👿
Mr. FedEx dropped off our first box of spring Rowan today. The rest will be coming on Wednesday. Over the weekend I will start working on getting the new colours online.
