Happy Box of Yarn

Susan Ashcroft has a new pattern called Slopes (purchased on Ravelry) There are 4 patterns in the collection. Susan mentions that this is a great pattern to knit on while watching the Olympics.

You can use Malabrigo Chunky or Malabrigo Mecha for the cowl. I would suggest 2 skeins for the cowl.

Many years ago the Yarn Harlot started an event during the Olympics. It was a challenge to knit a garment during the two weeks of events. You couldn’t cast on until the Opening Ceremonies and had to have the project finished by the Closing Ceremonies. I loved this - it pushed me to work on one project and only that project until it was finished. Ravelry then had an event but that has died off as well. I think I’m going to try and do it this year. Why don’t you join me? It doesn’t have to be a sweater. It can be a shawl or socks or a hat. Whatever you want.
Late yesterday afternoon Mr. UPS brought a box from Spincycle.
Montana - a brand new colour. All the yarns from the shipment are online and in the store.
Wild Horses. Not a new colour but I love this batch.
A couple more combinations for Ooey Gooey. Montana and Briar Rose. These are available online and in the store. You can also make up your own combination - you need 2 skeins of Emma’s Suri Silk and 2 skeins of Dyed in the Wool. Another option is Suri Silk with Starke 6 or Rowan Kidsilk Haze (held double strand) with Starke 6.
Wild Horses with Hundred Ochre Wood.

I finished another project last night.
Pattern: Traveler Cowl (purchased on Ravelry)

Yarn: 3 skeins of Dyed in the Wool

Colour: Eleventh Hour

Needles: 3.75mm

Beth got home yesterday afternoon and enjoyed a few days away. She wasn’t happy to come home to the cold.

It was crazy in the store the past few days. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and placed orders online. I’m heading home soon to put my feet up. Happy Saturday to everyone.
