The Flannel Crush cowl is worked flat beginning at one corner, shaped with increases and decreases, and seamed after blocking. The cowl features an allover
mosaic pattern, built-in I-Cord edges and an I-Cord bind off.
This pattern includes both charted and fully written instructions.
The cowl is knit with a sport weight solid colour with a striping yarn. Samantha used a hand spun for her striping yarn but not all of us spin yarn. You can use

Lynn’s
Grid Gambit is another design from Samantha. Lynn enjoyed knitting the pattern and likes the fit of the finished Cowl.
The main yarn is Rowan Felted Tweed - colour 226 and Lynn used 2 balls. The contrast is Edition 3 in colour 2471. Lynn used one ball but didn’t have any yarn left over. Lynn and I were in the store early this morning to pull orders and start packing boxes. Thank you to everyone who ordered. Mr. UPS and Mr. Purolator picked up lots of boxes when we opened and they’ll be back on Monday to pick up the rest.
We had a little bit of snow at my house this morning but nothing major. When I got into Ancaster the roads weren’t great and there were people snow blowing and shovelling their driveways. We had quite a bit of snow at the store - there are snow banks in the parking lot. My landscape company thinks about 4” in Ancaster. Friends in Dundas said that they had about 7” at their house. Hello winter!
